Facebook Removes 'Feeling Fat' Emoticon Due To Pressure From Petitions

Facebook has replaced the “feeling fat” emoji with “feeling stuffed” following petitions on Change.org. The petitions claimed that the “feeling fat” emoji status on Facebook encouraged online body shaming. Last month, Ohio State University graduate student and member of body image organization Endangered Bodies Catherine Weingarten filed the first petition.
