2015 Bentley Flying Spur V8: Nothing "Entry" about this Bentley

Despite the increasing capabilities, and pricing, of mainstream luxury brands there remains a zone of ultra luxury inhabited by few automotive nameplates. Bentley is one of them, with an image steeped in fine craftsmanship, capable performance and smooth driving. The 2015 Bentley Flying Spur maintains Bentley’s image, even in “base” form when equipped with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine making 500 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque. With a starting price of $197,825 (including $2,725 destination charge) the Flying Spur with a V8 costs about $20,000 less than a Flying Spur with the more traditional 6.0-liter W12 engine found in most 21st century Bentleys, making it the "cheapest" Bentley you can buy new. But that $20K is an amount the target demographic loses between clubhouse couch cushions every month, so why bother?
