Samsung Galaxy Note 5 hands-on

Samsung's Galaxy Note range has always had a niche but dedicated following. Sadly for its fans in the UK, the freshly announced 5.7-inch Note 5 isn't slated to come to the country -- at least not initially.

It's a shame, as when WIRED.co.uk went hands-on with the phone ahead of its global launch, what we found was the best, most premium Note yet. Samsung has done away with all that leather-feel plastic and given the Note it deserves. The Note 5 is straight from the Galaxy S6 school of design -- it's all metal and glass, which lend a satisfying weightiness to it. There are no curved edges to the Note this year -- its companion device is the S6 edge+ has that covered. Instead this device is for purists -- demanding business people who value efficiency over gimmicks. It looks smart and expensive, if -- dare we say it -- a little conservative when compared to the edge+.
