E-cigarettes do not cause children to start smoking


E-cigarettes are not a gateway to more traditional forms of smoking for young people, a study by YouGov has concluded.

More young people are experimenting with cigarettes but the number using them on a regular basis is still very low. Despite claims that electronic cigarettes introduce children to more dangerous methods of inhaling tobacco, the research shows that in fact those children who are experimenting with the devices are for the most part already smokers.
